If you ever want to see a group of skilled actors (Anne Hathaway, Patrick Wilson, David Morse, Clea DuVall, Andre Braugher, and Dianne Wiest) working themselves to the bone to try to imbue a wisp of a story with real drama...
Permit me to recommend Passengers.
However, if for some reason you don't ever want to see that, stay away from the film.
Way, way way away.
PS: And the director Rodrigo Garcia wants to be slapped in the head with a board for making a movie in which Anne Hathaway is only pleasant-looking...

The republicans remain parodies of themselves
Here's a story about where the various cable networks rank in the ratings. But that's not really what I want you to pay attention to. I want you to take a minute and skim through some of the comments by republicans waxing witty and hysterical over the idea that Cartoon Network gets better ratings than MSNBC or CNN.

I hope Obama does force his health bill debacle through, so we can see the annihilation of democrats in November. It will be repealed, rest assured. The republicans are already in the planning stages.

Finally, a bright side
Ok, so you know I ain't thrilled with the prospect of "Tim Burton's" Alice In Wonderland. So you can imagine how pleased I was to see the world agree with me to the tune of $200 million.
However, I have just learned that the record it broke was The Passion of the Christ's.
