More remakes that don't need to be made

Matt and Ben Reunite On Screen
The famous friends are supposedly planning to remake Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. According to OK Magazine:

The actors will take on the roles made famous by Paul Newman and Robert Redford in the 1969 classic.

Damon will reportedly play the Sundance Kid, while Affleck will recreate Newman’s role as Butch Cassidy, according to America’s OK! magazine.

This idea, if true, is indefensible. When are Hollywood people going to realize that the trick is you remake movies that aren't very good (think Ocean's 11) in their original form, not the ones that are?

I totally agree with you, Ben. This is going to suck rocks. Affleck should perhaps branch out away from acting for awhile. He's worn out his welcome in my house.

Poor Affleck...he's gifted, but oh man, he sure needs a shit detector for his movies.

In retrospect, he probably should have realized his film career was over when even Kevin Smith couldn't write him a good part anymore.

You'd think maybe Oscar boy could write himself something...if he was really a writer.

Now you see him casting about for relevancy like a drowning man for a life preserver. Maybe he will try politics.
