Mercy killing

Per Variety.com, Showtime has cancelled "Huff." Thank god. For any actors, producers, directors or (perhaps especially) writers who may be looking in, the second year of this drama should be an object lesson.

In how to take a fine hour into the toliet after setting a very high standard in the first season.

We can all now mourn properly, as opposed to waiting with bated breath for it to get better.

I'm a little surprised, considering all the Emmy nods the show received in its first season, but not too surprised . . .

I suspect the writing was on the wall when after the Emmys and the hype for S2, ratings didn't improve.

Much as I might like to believe it's because they recognized how bad the show got this year...
