To be fair, actors who take their craft seriously need a certain level of concentration in order to deliver a good performance. According to that audio, the DP had wandered onto the set more than once and broke Bale's concentration. Once is forgiveable, repeats are not.
Yeah, but again, he was making Terminator 4, not frickin' Amadeus.
Even if he had been making Amadeus, there's taking your craft seriously and there's taking yourself seriously, and this crosses the line.
If you take yourself that seriously making Terminator 4, you're just not having enough fun in show business.
I also think multimillionaire movie stars should be judged on how they treat the people whom they work with who are *not* multimillionaire movie stars.
Even allowing that the DP made an error, Bale's reaction was clearly inappropriate.
Put another way: You don't hear stories like this about Clin Eastwood...
