Um...not to put too fine a point on it, but I can think of one or two that were bigger. Without even breaking a sweat, really.

The other day, when you said, "He's not John Ashcroft," wasn't a very ringing endorsement of John Roberts, what popped into my head was, "There are probably a lot of conservatives who would agree with you."
Much to my horror, my mom listens to Rush Limbaugh, so when I go back to Indiana, I have to put up with it. The last time I was there, one of Rush's callers was complaining about the "liberal traitor" William Pryor. Yes, that William Pryor, who had been fillibustered by the Democrats until the "Gang of 14" deal was struck. A "liberal traitor." (Because of the Ten Commandments monument thingy, in case you were wondering.)
There are some people in George W. Bush's own base who will never be satisfied with anyone he nominates - if not now, then later, the first time the Justice is part of a decision that doesn't go their way. I'm sure even Scalia and Thomas have disappointed some people, or if they haven't they will eventually.
