By my count, I'm only slightly whiter than PJ, my trophy black friend.

Playing off this entry in her blog...

#01 Coffee - Hate it. I count it as a scarring experience the first time I, as a child, tried coffee ice cream, which has got to be some kind of a socialist plot.

#11 Asian Girls - I used to think I wasn't "into" Asian girls the way some guys are, I mean not the way I'm "into" redheads, Goth chicks and intellectual girls. But then I realized what I'm not "into" is the porcelain geisha cliché.

You give me a woman with some Filipina or Chinese blood in her body who is vigorously hot...well, I get a kick out of those dames. Like the aforementioned Ms. Cates, or my old friend Kahni Clements

or Michelle Yeoh,

or Jennifer Lee Wiggins.

#17 Hating their Parents - I've got a right.

#29 80s Night-Don't think I've ever actually been to one, but I approve heartily in principle. Besides, when you're with me, every night is 80s Night...

#35 The Daily Show/Colbert Report-Damn straight. Best satire on the air and the only TV "news" shows I watch regularly.

#38 Arrested Development-Call out the guard, I never thought this series deserved much better ratings than it got. Just seemed way too "inside."

#39 Netflix-Haven't warmed to Netflix either, though maybe I would if I didn't live five minutes away from the Coolest Video Store in America (so dubbed by Premiere magazine).

#43 Plays - Feh. Wouldn't touch the stuff.

#50 Irony-Worst cushion there is...and so '90s, don'tcha know.

#51 Living by the Water-Hey, I would, if I could, but I can't, so I don't.

#52 Sarah Silverman--Well, I've talked about this more than once. I tend to be a little ambivalent about Sarah Silverman, and I generally think she's sexier than she is funny (though she's both)

#58 Japan - Any country where Ryuichi Sakamoto can have #1 hits is ok by me.

#68 Michel Gondry-It's a fair cop; I do like Michel Gondry--the kind of director who gives "visionary" a good name.

#77 Musical Comedy--Love it. Kern, Berlin, Porter, Hammerstein, the Gershwin kids, Gwen Verdon, Bob Fosse...
